(HIGH STREET AND MARKET PLACE, EYEMOUTH)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2020

 

The Scottish Borders Council (High Street and Market Place, Eyemouth) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 24 February 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 1 March 2020 – 24 hour closure and restriction. The Order is required for Scottish Power works.

When the Order comes into effect, in Eyemouth town centre, no person shall:

(a)   walk or cycle along the footway on the south side of High Street. The alternative pedestrian route is via the footway on the north side of High Street, crossing at the existing crossing points; and

(b)   permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on:

       (i)    High Street from number 2 to number 6;

       (ii)   Market Place outside number 26.
