(B6357 ASHTREE TO SLATIE BRAE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2020

 

The Scottish Borders Council (B6357 Ashtree to Slatie Brae) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 January 2020 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of three weeks at the times detailed below. The Order is required for replacing cattle grids.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6357 from the Ashtree Cattle Grid to the Slatie Brae Cattle Grid as follows:

(a)   for vehicles 3.0T MGW and under, between the hours of 08:30 to 17:00 on weekdays only; and

(b)   for vehicles over 3.0T MGW, 24 hour closure.

The alternative routes are as follows:

For vehicles 10T and under: southbound via the B6357, A6088, A698, B6399 and B6357 to the point of closure, northbound the above in reverse.

For vehicles over 10T: southbound via the B6357, A6088, A7 and B6357 to the point of closure, northbound the above in reverse.
