(SELKIRK NATIVITY SCENE AND CAROL SINGING)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and with the consent of the Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 12:00 on 24 December 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 21:30. The closure is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Selkirk nativity scene and carol singing.
When the Order comes into effect:
(a) no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Kirk Wynd, Selkirk. The alternative route is via High Street, Tower Street and Back Row.
(b) The Borders Regional Council (Kirk Wynd and Market Place, Selkirk) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1987 will be amended as follows: the One Way Order on Kirk Wynd will be revoked for the duration of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
