(THE LOAN, GATTONSIDE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (The Loan, Gattonside) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:30 on 9 December 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:15 on 16 December 2019 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for a gas main renewal.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along The Loan, Gattonside.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via The Loan, the B6360, B6374, D6/4 and The Loan to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
