THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(SEASONAL MARKET - HIGH STREET, JEDBURGH)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) NO 3 ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 07:30 on 15 December 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:30. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the seasonal market to be held on High Street, Jedburgh.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle, and permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, on:

  1. High Street, Jedburgh from Jewellers Wynd to Exchange Street. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Canongate, Newcastle Road and High Street to the point of closure; and
  2. Abbey Place, Jedburgh from Dean’s Close to Market Place. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Market Place, Canongate, the A68 and Abbey Place to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

The Scottish Borders Council (High Street, Exchange Street and Queen Street, Jedburgh) (Temporary One Way) No 2 Order 2019 dated 9 September 2019 is amended as follows: the One Way Order on High Street, Jedburgh is partially revoked from Queen Street to Jewellers Wynd for the duration of this Order.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
