(B6357 TINNIS BRIDGE, SOUTH OF NEWCASTLETON)

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (B6357 Tinnis Bridge, South of Newcastleton) (Temporary 30mph Speed Restriction) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 2 December 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 2 June 2021 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required to ensure a safe working and driving environment whilst bridge repair works are being carried out.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph along the B6357 at Tinnis Bridge, south of Newcastleton, from a point 100 metres south of the bridge to a point 100 metres north of the same bridge.
