THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(SCOTTISH BORDERS RAPE CRISIS CENTRE MARCH - HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16A(6) and Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 18:30 on 25 November 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 20:00 2019. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre “Reclaim the Night” March.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following streets in Hawick:

       High Street, Sandbed, Albert Road, Commercial Road, Mart Street and Bourtree Place

These closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
