(CANONGATE FOOTBRIDGE, JEDBURGH)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (Canongate Footbridge, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 18 November 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 22 November 2019 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for bridge maintenance works.

When the Order comes into effect, no person shall walk or cycle across the Canongate Footbridge, Jedburgh. The alternative eastbound pedestrian and cycle route is via the A68, Waterside Road and Old Bridge End to the point of closure, the alternative westbound route is the reverse of the foregoing.
