(C8 MEGGETHEAD TO TWEEDSMUIR)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (C8 Meggethead to Tweedsmuir) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 15 October 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 5 November 2019 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for building out an access road for a telecoms mast.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C8 Meggethead to Tweedsmuir at Meggethead.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C8, A701, A708 and C8 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
