(A72 GALASHIELS ROAD, WALKERBURN)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council (A72 Galashiels Road, Walkerburn) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 30 September 2019 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of 16 weeks. The Order is required for wall repair works.
When the Order comes into effect, on the A72 Galashiels Road, Walkerburn, no person shall:
(a) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on that road from a point 80 metres west of its junction with Jubilee Road to the 30 mph limits at the east end of Walkerburn; and
(b) walk or cycle along the footway from Hall Street to number 30.
The alternative pedestrian routes will be as follows:
Eastbound via Galashiels Road, Jubilee Road, Park Avenue and Hall Street to the point of closure; Westbound will be the above in reverse.
Pedestrian access for residents within the closure will be maintained.
The Scottish Borders Council (A72 Main Street, Walkerburn) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2019 dated 16 September 2019 is hereby revoked.
