(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (C40 Cessford) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 23 September 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 27 September 2019 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT network upgrade works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C40 Cessford.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the C40, B6401 and C40 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
