(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (A708 Foulshiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 23 September 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 14 October 2019 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day, as detailed below. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A708 at Foulshiels, West of Selkirk as follow:

(a)   from 23 September to 27 September 2019;

(b)   from 30 September 4 October 2019;

(c)   from 7 October to 11 October 2019; and

(d)   14 October 2019

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A708, A701, A72, A707 and A708 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
