(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (Stirches Road, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 29 September 2019 is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The Order is required for repairs to damaged ironwork.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Stirches Road, Hawick from Mayfield Drive to Greensidehall Road.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Stirches Road, Dickson Street, Princes Street, the A7, Guthrie Drive, Roxburghe Drive, Hazelwood Road and Stirches Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
