(COULTER’S CANDY STATUE UNVEILING)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 09:00 on 20 September 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 12:00 2019. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the unveiling of the Coulter’s Candy statute. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

When the Order comes into effect:

  1. no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Overhaugh Street, Galashiels from Market Street to a point 30 metres north west of Market Street. The alternative route for north westbound traffic is via Market Street, Bank Street and High Street;

  2. the Scottish Borders Council (The Borders Regional Council) (Various Streets, Galashiels) (Regulation of Traffic) Order 1990 (as amended) will be further amended as follows:

  1. the One Way Order on Bank Close, Galashiels will be reversed;

  2. the One Way Order on Overhaugh Street, Galashiels from Market Place to Bank Close will be revoked.
