(HIGH STREET, EXCHANGE STREET AND QUEEN STREET, JEDBURGH)
(TEMPORARY ONE WAY) NO 2 ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council (High Street, Exchange Street and Queen Street, Jedburgh (Temporary One Way) No 2 Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 16 September 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until midnight on 14 March 2021 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for emergency building works.
When the Order comes into effect the following one way orders will be in force in Jedburgh:
- High Street, in a northerly direction from Canongate to the junction with Queen Street – no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a southerly direction. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A68 Newcastle Road and Canongate to the point of restriction;
- Exchange Street, in a southerly direction from Friarsgate to High Street – no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a northerly direction. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via High Street, Pleasance and Friarsgate to the point of restriction; and
- Queen Street, in a southerly direction from High Street to Canongate – no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a northerly direction. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Canongate and High Street to the point of restriction.
