(JIM CLARK MOTORSPORT MUSEUM OFFICIAL OPENING - DUNS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order made under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 06:00 on 29 August 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 as detailed below.  The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the official opening of the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

When the Order comes into effect, no person shall:

(a)   drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Newtown Street, Duns from New Road to the Library between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via New Road, Langtongate, South Street, Market Square, Currie Street and Newtown Street to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.;

(b)   permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the following streets in Duns between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00:

       (i)    Newtown Street – both sides from New Road to the Library;

       (ii)   Langtongate – both sides from Willis Wynd westwards for 50 metres; and

       (iii)  South Street – both sides from Brierybaulk to Market Square and the north side from North Street to Brierybaulk.
