(B712 MERLINDALE BRIDGE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (B712 Merlindale Bridge) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 2 September 2019 is expected to remain in effect for a period of two weeks – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B712 at Merlindale Bridge.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B712, A701, A72 and B712 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
