(REGULATION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 1978)

(AMENDMENT NO. 5) ORDER 2019

 

 

The Scottish Borders Council, on 6 August 2019 in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 1 and 2 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act and having complied with the statutory requirements of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, made the above Order. The Order will come into operation on 12 August 2019.

The effect of the Order is as described in the Notice previously published in the Southern Reporter on 11 April 2019. A copy of the Order as made with relevant map may be inspected at Engineering Design, Environment and Infrastructure, The Scottish Borders Council, Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells from Mondays to Thursdays between 8.45 am and 5.00 pm and on Fridays between 8.45 am and 3.45 pm also at the Library Contact Centre, Castlegate, Jedburgh during normal opening hours.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 8 August 2019, make application for the purpose to the Court of Session.
