(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Stirches Road, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 15 July 2019 is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 each day. The Order is required for removal and repairs to speed bumps.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Stirches Road, Hawick from Mayfield Drive to Raeson Park.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Stirches Road, Dickson Street, Princes Street, the A7, Guthrie Drive and Stirches Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for residents will be maintained with minor delays.
