(BATH STREET, HAWICK)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council (Bath Street, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 15 July 2019 is expected to remain in effect until 26 July 2019 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Hawick Flood Protection Scheme works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Bath Street, Hawick.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Bath Street, Albert Road and Commercial Road to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Access for residents will be maintained with minor delays.
