(D83/1 WALKERBURN TO PEEL)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council (D83/1 Walkerburn to Peel) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 17 June 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 23 June 2019 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Openreach network upgrade works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D83/1 from Walkerburn to Peel.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the D83/1, Caberston Road, the A72, A707 and D83/1 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
