(CHAPEL STREET, EYEMOUTH)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Chapel Street, Eyemouth) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 12 June 2019 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The Order is required for manhole repairs.

When the Order comes into effect:

(a)   no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Chapel Street, Eyemouth from St Ella’s Place to Market Place; and

(b)   The Borders Regional Council (Various Streets, Eyemouth) (Regulation of Traffic) Order 1978 (as amended) will be further amended as follows: the One Way Order on Chapel Street, Eyemouth will be revoked to permit egress.

The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Chapel Street, Harbour Road and Manse Road to the point of closure.
