(SCHOOL LANE, MELROSE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (School Lane, Melrose) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 29 May 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 31 May 2019 between the hours detailed below. The Order is required in the interests of public safety in respect of a school traffic project. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along School Lane, Melrose as follows:

(a)   on 29 May and 30 May 2019 from 08:00 to 09:00 and from 15:00 to 16:00; and

(b)   on 31 May 2019 from 08:00 to 09:00 and from 12:00 and 13:00.

There is no alternative route.
