(HIGH STREET, EXCHANGE STREET AND QUEEN STREET, JEDBURGH)

(TEMPORARY ONE WAY) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (High Street, Exchange Street and Queen Street, Jedburgh (Temporary One Way) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 15 March 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until midnight on 15 September 2019 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for emergency building works.

When the Order comes into effect the following one way orders will be in force in Jedburgh:

(a)   High Street, in a northerly direction from Canongate to the junction with Queen Street – no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a southerly direction. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A68 Newcastle Road and Canongate to the point of restriction;

(b)   Exchange Street, in a southerly direction from Friarsgate to High Street – no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a northerly direction. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via High Street, Pleasance and Friarsgate to the point of restriction; and

(c)   Queen Street, in a southerly direction from High Street to Canongate – no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a northerly direction. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Canongate and High Street to the point of restriction.
