(GALA PARK AND LIVINGSTONE PLACE CAR PARK, GALASHIELS)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (Gala Park and Livingstone Place Car Park) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 18 February 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 20 April 2019 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required to allow for the demolition of the adjacent church and hall buildings.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall:

(a)   permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along Gala Park, Galashiels as follows:

       (i)    west side – from a point 25 metres from its junction with Bank Street Brae for a distance of 35 metres;

       (ii)   east side – from a point 15 metres from its junction with Bank Street Brae for a distance of 60 metres; and

(b)   permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the south side of the Livingstone Place car park, Galashiels.
