(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (B6360 Abbotsford) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 4 February 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 26 April 2019 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required while Phase II of the Galafoot Bridge works is taking place.

When the Order comes into effect, on the B6360 from the A7 to Abbotsford House:

(a)   a One Way Order will be in force in a north-easterly direction. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a south-westerly direction. The alternative route for south-westbound traffic is via the B6360, A6091 and A7 to the point of the One Way Order; 

(b)   a temporary weight restriction of 7.5T mgw will be in force. The alternative route for vehicles over 7.5T mgw is via the A7, A699, A68 and A6091 to the point of restriction; and

(c)   a temporary speed restriction of 40mph will be in force.
