(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (D89/6 & D88/6 Peelwalls Farm) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 28 January 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 1 February 2019 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT Openreach network upgrade works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads:

1. the D89/6 south of Ayton, from Oakwood to its junction with the D88/6; and
2. the D88/6 from its junction with the B6355 to its junction with the D89/6.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B6355, C116, A6105, D94/6 and D88/6 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
