THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL
(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council on 15 January 2019 made the above Order in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act. The Order will come into operation on 21 January 2019.
The effect of the Order is to ensure the safe use and effective control of Off-Street car parks in the Scottish Borders area and to regularise the level of surcharge and irregular parking charges across all Off-Street car parks.
A copy of the Order as made, together with relevant maps, may be inspected at the following locations during normal opening hours:

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 17 January 2019, make application for the purpose to the Court of Session
