(A708 YARROW)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2018
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 2 May 2018 and is expected to remain in effect until 11 May 2018 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The road will be open over the holiday weekend of 5, 6 and 7 May 2018. The Order is required for surface dressing patching works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A708 at Yarrow.
The alternative routes are as follows:
(a) for eastbound vehicles 7.5T and under via the A708, B709, A72, A707 and A708 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing
(b) for eastbound vehicles over 7.5T via the A708, A701, A72, A707 and A708 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
