THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(BORDERS FESTIVALS – LAUDER)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) NO 1 ORDER 2018

 

The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16A(6) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day shall come into force at 19:45 on 4 May 2018 and is expected to remain in effect until 20:30. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being Lauder Common Riding election night.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following streets in Lauder:

Market Place, West High Street, The Avenue, Stow Road, Mid Row

These closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform and/or appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
