(C8 MEGGETHEAD BRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2017
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 11 September 2017 and is expected to remain in effect until 6 November 2017 – 24 hour closure. The closure is required for bridge repair works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C8 at Meggethead Bridge.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C8, A701, B712, A72, B709 and C8 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
There will be no access for pedestrians and cyclists.
