(B6453 SHAWBURN BRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2017
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 06:00 on 6 March 2017 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 28 October 2017 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for emergency repairs.
When the Order comes into effect:
(a) a 20mph speed limit will be in force on the B6453 south of Midlem from a point 50 metres north of Shawburn Bridge to a point 50 metres south of that bridge; and
(b) a 26 tonne mgw weight restriction will be in force on the B6453 at Shawburn Bridge, south of Midlem.
The alternative northbound route for vehicles over 26 tonne mgw is via the B6453, B6359, A699 and B6453 to the point of the restriction, for southbound vehicles over 26 tonne mgw, the reverse of the foregoing.
