THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(ST MARY’S ROAD, MELROSE)

(TEMPORARY ONE WAY) ORDER 2013

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of four days, will come into force at 16:00 on 13 June 2013 and is expected to remain in effect until Midnight on 16 June 2013. The order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Borders Book Festival.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle in an easterly direction along that length of St Mary’s Road, Melrose from the exit from St Mary’s School to its junction with Annay Road.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is west on St Mary’s Road, east on High Street and Buccleuch Street and north on Abbey Street to the point of closure.
