(ST MARY’S ROAD, MELROSE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2012

          NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of four days, will come into force at 4 p.m. on 14/6/2012 and is expected to remain in effect until Midnight on 17/6/2012. The closure is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Borders Book Festival.

          When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along that length of St Mary’s Road, Melrose from its junction with Annay Road to the exit from St Mary’s School.

          The alternative route for eastbound traffic is west on St Mary’s Road, east on High Street and Buccleuch Street and north on Abbey Street to the point of closure.
