The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles)  to wait or load on the following length of road in the town of Renfrew in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire:


Wright Street, from Paisley Road to Stopping up at Houston’s Bottling Plant Access


Phase 1 – Paisley Road Junction to Fitzalan Avenue Junction.

Phase 2 – Houston’s Botting Plant to old railway bridge.

Phase 3 – Old railway bridge to Fitzalan Avenue.


Please note, work phases will run consecutively during the closure period


Reason for Restriction: Carriageway Resurfacing.


Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area. Emergency and local access will be maintained.


Alternative Routes:


· Local diversion routes will be in affect during the 3 phases of works.

· Access to Houston’s bottling site will be maintained at all times.


This notice will be in force from Monday 27th May 2024 to Sunday 23rd June 2024. This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
