TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles)  to wait or load on the following length of road in the town of Paisley in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire:

 

B787 Main Street, Howwood between Midton Road & Elliston Castle Road (inclusive of the junctions)

 

Reason for Restriction:  Carriageway Resurfacing.

 

Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area.  Local and Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

 

Alternative Routes:

 

Phase 1 - B787 intersection Closure with local access only to Mid Gavin Access Rd. Main Diversion Via A737, B787 Kilbarchan Rd, B787 Cochranemill Rd, B787 Beith Rd, B787 Main St (and Vice Versa), B776 Traffic directed along Bowfield Rd and Midton Rd.

 

Phase 2 - Linster Cres Traffic diverted westbound towards A737 Main Diversion Via A737, B787 Kilbarchan Rd, B787 Cochranemill Rd, B787 Beith Rd, B787 Main St (and Vice Versa)

 

Phase 3 Additional Diversion Via Station Rd, Kibbleston Rd, Tandlehill Rd and Easwald Bank onto Main Diversion Route Main Diversion Via A737, B787 Kilbarchan Rd, B787 Cochranemill Rd, B787 Beith Rd, B787 Main St (and Vice-Versa)

 

This order will be in force on Monday 19th September 2022 until Sunday 09th October 2022.  This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
