TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
Barrhead Road, Paisley.
The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles) to wait or load on the following length of road in the town of Paisley in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire:
Barrhead Road, From Lochfield Road to Hawkhead Road (Including Junction at Lochfield Road).
Reason for Restriction: Carriageway Resurfacing.
Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative Routes:
Phase 1 Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th May 2022 – Barrhead Road and Lochfield Road Junction. Lochfield Road closed at Barrhead Road for 1st 3 days of closure (2days with 1 day as contingency) – reopening to traffic after this and forming part of the diversion routes.
- Lochfield Road closed to through traffic at Rowan Street – diversion is Rowan Street / Neilston Road then following main diversion route signage.
- Barscube Terrace closed at Junction with Lochfield Road – no through traffic
- Barhead Road closed between Marnock Terrace and Hawkhead Roundabout – No through Road - Todholm Terrace access road closed – local traffic diverted to Marnock Terrace access.
- Southbound (towards Barrhead) – Barhead Road / Lone End / Gordon Street / Neilston Road / Caplethill Road / Grahamston Road / Hurlet Road
- Northbound (towards Paisley) – Hawkhead Road / Glasgow Road / Mill Street
Phase 2 Monday 23rd for 3 weeks- Barrhead Road closed to through traffic between Hawkhead Road Roundabout and Lochfield Road. Todholm Terrace access road closed – local traffic diverted to Marnock Terrace access.
- Southbound (towards Barrhead) – Lochfield Road / Neilston Road / Caplethill Road / Grahamston Road / Hurlet Road
- Northbound (towards Paisley) – Hawkhead Road / Glasgow Road / Mill Street / Barrhead Road
This order will be in force on Monday 23rd May 2022 till Sunday 12th June 2022. This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
