TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING
Paisley – Johnstone – Renfrew - Elderslie
The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that to accommodate social distancing at locations where there is a high pedestrian demand additional footway width be utilised from the existing carriageway provision. As such no vehicle shall wait, load or unload or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles) to wait or load on the following lengths of road in the town of Paisley in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire:
Southernmost carriageway between Lacy St & Crossflat Cres. for a distance of 137.5m or thereby
Southernmost carriageway between McKerrell St and Kilnside Rd for a distance of 25.8m or thereby
Norhthernmost carriageway between Kelburn Oval & Whitehaugh Ave for a distance of 29.6m or thereby
Well Street, Paisley.
Westmost carriageway from Wellmeadow St up to and including No. 11 for a distance of 77.8m or thereby
Main Road, Elderslie.
Southmost carriageway between numbers 147 and 181 for a distance of 20.2m or thereby
Westmost carriageway between High St and No. 6. for a distance of 39.1m or thereby
William Street Johnstone.
Eastmost carriageway between access to rear of 53 High St and No. 5. for a distance of 16.2m or thereby
High Street Johnstone.
Northmost carriageway between Collier St and George St. for a distance of 111.9m or thereby
Paisley Road, Renfrew.
Westmost carriageway between nos. 112 and 120. for a distance of 28.6m or thereby
Paisley Road, Renfrew.
Westmost carriageway between nos. 138 and 146. for a distance of 21.4m or thereby
Reason for Restriction: To provide additional footway width to allow for social distancing.
Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the restricted area.
Alternative Routes: N/A.
This order will be in force on Monday, 1st June 2020 till Friday, 31st December 2021.
This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
