Review of the Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils

Public Consultation – Phase 2

Under the terms of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, Renfrewshire Council is reviewing the content and provisions of its Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils (the Scheme) and is now consulting with community councils and any other interested party on the content and provisions of a revised Scheme.

A first phase of consultation, during November 2018, invited representations on the proposed revisions which were published in a Draft Scheme.

As a result of the representations received, a second phase of public consultation is now underway, and representations are invited from community councils and any other interested party on the amended proposals as set out in the published Amended Draft Scheme.

Copies of the Amended Draft Scheme and all other related documents are available online at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/haveyoursay

Representations can be made in writing to Renfrewshire Council, Committee Services, Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley PA1 1TR or by email to: community-council.cs@renfrewshire.gov.uk by no later than Friday, 19 April 2019.

For further information or advice about this consultation, please email as above or call 0141 618 7104.
