On 9/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily restrict all vehicular traffic to a maximum speed of 40mph on (i) the C402 Rait (southeast) from a point 245 metres northwest of its junction with the C401 south-eastwards for a distance of 245 metres or thereby and (ii) the C402 Rait (northwest) from a point 575 metres northwest of its junction with the C401 north-westwards for a distance of 221 metres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the Rait area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
