On 9/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily restrict all vehicular traffic to a maximum speed of 40mph on (i) the C402 from its junction with the C401 to its junction with the A90 a distance of 1.81 kilometres or thereby; (ii) the U142 from the C401 High Carse Road to its junction with the C402 a distance of 2.97 kilometres or thereby and (iii) the access road off the U142 to the A90(T) for its entire length a distance of 446 metres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the Westown area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
