On 9/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily restrict all vehicular traffic to a maximum speed of 40mph on (i) the B953 Main Road (southeast) Abernyte from a point 385 metres southeast of its junction with the U142 (east) south-eastwards for a distance of 245 metres or thereby and (ii) the B953 Main Road (northwest) Abernyte from a point 351 metres southeast of its junction with the U142 Kinnaird Road north-westwards for a distance of 265 metres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the Abernyte area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
