On 9/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily restrict all vehicular traffic to a maximum speed of (a) 40mph on (i) the U141 from its junction with the B954 Dundee Road eastwards for a distance of 95 metres or thereby and (ii) the B954 Dundee Road from a point 75 metres south of its junction with the U141 northwards for a distance of 480 metres or thereby; and (b) 20mph on (i) the C18 Ardler from its junction with the B954 Dundee Road south-westwards for a distance of 226 metres or thereby; (ii) the B954 Dundee Road from its junction with the C18 Ardler Road south-eastwards then southwards for a distance of 798 metres or thereby; (iii) the B954 The Square for its entire length of 108 metres or thereby (iv) the B954 Strathmore Place for its entire length of 108 metres or thereby; (v) Glebeway for its entire length of 189 metres or thereby; (vi) Glebe Drive for its entire length of 55 metres or thereby (vii) Belmont Place for its entire length of 120 metres or thereby and (viii) Kinloch Place for its entire length of 66 metres or thereby.  This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the Meigle area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative.  These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
