On 9/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily restrict all vehicular traffic to a maximum speed of (i) 30mph on the U55 Kirkton of Mailer Road from its junction with the A912 to a point 50 metres east of Kirkton of Mailer Farm Cottages a distance of 1.39 kilometres or thereby and (ii) 40mph on the U55 Kirkton of Mailer Road from its junction with the B9112 to a point 50 metres east of Kirkton of Mailer Farm Cottages a distance of 3.31 kilometres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the Kirkton of Mailer area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
