On 10/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 20mph on the following roads:- (i) the C449 Main Road (northwest) from its junction with the A827 north-westwards for a distance of 1.25 kilometres or thereby; (ii) the C449 Main Road (northeast) from its junction with A827 north-eastwards for a distance of 331 metres or thereby; and (iii) the A827 from a point 410 metres or thereby west of its junction with Tigh Na Loan Street eastwards for a distance of 1.67 kilometres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the Fearnan area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
