On 8/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to (ONE) restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 20mph on the A827 road from a point 485 metres or thereby northeast of its junction with U184 south-westwards for 890 metres or thereby; and (TWO) restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 40mph on the following roads in the A827 Lawers area:- (1) the A827 road (northeast) from a point 485 metres or thereby northeast of its junction with U184 north-eastwards for 220 metres or thereby; and (2) the A827 road (southeast) from a point 412 metres or thereby southwest of its junction with U184 south-westwards for 230 metres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the A827 Lawers area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
