On 4/11/20 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 20mph on the following roads in Alyth:- (1) B952 Airlie Street from its junction 65 metres south of its junction with Isla Road to its junction with Market Square a distance of 485 metres or thereby, (2) Market Square for its entire length a distance of 106 metres or thereby, (3) B952 Bridge Street for its entire length a distance of 22.3 metres or thereby, (4) Bamff Road from its junction 15 metres west of its junction with Market Square to its junction with the B952 Airlie Street a distance of 45 metres or thereby, (5) Mill Street from its junction with the B952 Commercial Street to its junction with Parkside Road a distance of 74.4 metres or thereby, and (6) B952 Commercial Street for its entire length a distance of 169 metres or thereby. This applies from 6/11/20 as the Council, acting as Traffic Authority, is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement a reduced speed limit to assist with physical distancing safety measures around the Alyth area. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
