On 24/8/20 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 20mph on the following roads around the Meikleour area:- (1) U113 Main Road, Meikleour for its entire length, a distance of 87 metres or thereby, (2) A984 Old Military Road from its junction with the A984 Main Road westwards for a distance of 279 metres or thereby, (3) A984 from its junction with the A984 Main Road eastwards for a distance of 125 metres or thereby, (4) C427 Main Road, Meikleour from its entire length a distance of 166 metres or thereby, (5) A984 Main Road, Meikleour for its entire length, a distance of 585 metres or thereby, (6) Carsie Road, Meikleour for its entire length, a distance of 133 metres or thereby, and (7) Mercer Green, Meikleour for its entire length, a distance of 97 metres or thereby. This applies from 26/8/20 as the Council, acting as Traffic Authority, is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement a reduced speed limit to assist with physical distancing safety measures around the Meikleour area. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
