On 11/8/20 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 20mph on the following roads around the Maryburgh area:- (1) the U236 from its junction with the B996 westwards to its junction with Abbots Wynd, Maryburgh for 1.08 kilometres or thereby; (2) Abbots Wynd for its entire length of 126 metres or thereby; and (3) Middleton Park for its entire length of 286 metres or thereby. This applies from 14/8/20 as the Council, acting as Traffic Authority, is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement a reduced speed limit to assist with physical distancing safety measures for around the Maryburgh area. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
