Various Streets/Footways in Perth City Centre

On 11/09/17 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit temporarily driving, parking and loading for all vehicular traffic on both sides of the following roads, pedestrian traffic will be also be suspended:- (1) Mill Street from its junction with Kinnoull Street to its junction with Bridge Lane, a distance of 256 metres or thereby. (2) Bridge Lane from its junction with Mill Street to its junction with George Street, a distance of 60 metres or thereby. (3) Skinnergate from its junction with Mill Street to its junction with High Street, a distance of 115 metres or thereby. This order will also prevent all pedestrian traffic on the following lengths of footways – (4) Cutlog Vennel from its junction with Mill Street to its junction with High Street, a distance of 87 metres or thereby. (5) Curfew Row from its junction with Mill Street to its junction with Blackfriars Wynd, a distance of 76 metres or thereby. The order will also prohibit vehicular traffic travelling east and west as required on:- (6) Mill Street from its junction with Kinnoull Street to its junction with Bridge Lane, a distance of 257 metres or thereby. (7) Bridge Lane from its junction with Mill Street to its junction with George Street, a distance of 61 metres or thereby. The existing one way order on Skinnergate will be temporarily suspended for the duration of this Order. Alternative route for vehicles is:- (1), (2) & (3) Atholl Street – Charlotte Street – Tay Street; Alternative route for pedestrians is:- (4) High Street – Kinnoull Street – Mill Street; (5) Blackfriars Wynd – Union Street – Kinnoull Street – Mill Street. This applies from 15/9/17 for an estimated period of 9 weeks to permit carriageway resurfacing and Perth Theatre works. Should these works overrun the maximum duration of this Order is 18 months. Pedestrian and emergency vehicle access to premises will be maintained.
